Ignite is coming to Ottawa, and the first series of talks will be held at the Velvet Room in the Byward Market on November 12, 2009.

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, Ignite events feature a lineup of speakers each given 5 minutes and 20 slides to impart their considerable wisdom to the audience.  Topics range from business or media-related topics to eclectic topics such as what happens to your online identity after you die, and the acoustics of a custom guitar.

The night begins at 6:00, with the talks starting at 7:00.  There will be an intermission in the middle of the talks, and the night will be capped off by choosing the favourite talk of the night, by the extremely scientific means of loud clapping.
